Check power supply of each fuel pump separately as follows.

Again connect all disconnected fuel hoses.

Connect V.A.G 1715 multimeter by means of current-measuring pincers to a wire of the 4-contact tip contact 1 (fig. 2.318) from a conducting plait to the right module of supply of fuel.

Get the engine and to leave to idle.

Measure power consumption of the fuel pump. Preset value: Max. 11 And.

If the consumed current more set, is faulty the right fuel pump, it is necessary to replace the module of supply of fuel.

In the same way execute check of the left module of supply of fuel.

If the consumed current is more than set:

The left fuel pump is faulty, it is necessary to replace the module of supply of fuel.

NOTE If the mistake in a power supply system appears only from time to time, check can be spent also during a trial trip, the second expert however is for this purpose necessary.
