Check condition
The engine should be dismantled.

Works order
Dismantle a sound-proof cover and a cover of a head of the block of cylinders of the corresponding head of the block.
Remove the fuel or tandemny pump соотв. GBTs
Scroll the engine by means of a countersupport – T10172 in situation VMT and remove a damper of krutilny fluctuations.
Establish a clamp of a cranked shaft of T10195.

Establish the indicator of hour type from VAS 6341 set with a universal support of VW 387 and create preliminary tension about 1 mm on a tarelchaty spring the pump nozzle, as shown (fig. 2.288) .
Take a pin of a clamp of the T10195 crankshaft and scroll the engine against the working direction of rotation until the arrow of the indicator will not cease to move.
Establish the indicator of hour type on «0».
Scroll the engine in the working direction of rotation to VMT and again insert a lock pin of a clamp of the crankshaft.
Consider the measured value on the indicator.

The set sizes
Engines AYH, BKW:
5,18 mm ±0,1 mm.
Engines BLE, BWF:
4,95 mm ±0,1 mm.
If the nominal rate is reached complete the engine.
If the preset value of pressure is not reached, dismantle an external cover of a support of A, establish the tightening T10199 adaptation on a gear wheel of a camshaft and tighten device bolts since the moments of 40 N · m.
Weaken a fixing bolt of a gear wheel of a cam-shaft T10198 head.
Scroll a cam-shaft T10336 head before achievement of a preset value.
Tighten fastening of a gear wheel of a cam-shaft by the moment of 150 N · m and to repeat measurement.
If the preset value is received, tighten fastening of a gear wheel of a cam-shaft on 90 °.
Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders and a sound-proof cover.

NOTE
Always replace consolidations and sealing rings of round section.
