Removal

Remove reverse main gear.

Fix the universal VW 771 tool on left to a shaft with a flange.

Take the left shaft with a flange (fig. 3.169) .

Take a sealing ring of a shaft with a flange by means of VW 771/1 and VW 771/37 (fig. 3.170) .

Installation

Press a new sealing ring against the stop (fig. 3.171) .

Fill space between working and antidust edges of consolidation half plastic A1 G 052 128 greasing.

Check before installation a shaft boot with a flange on existence of damages. If necessary – replace a boot

Old persistent ring And take by means of pincers from a shaft flute with a flange (fig. 3.161) .

New persistent ring do not stretch, establish in a shaft flute with a flange.

Press a shaft with a flange by means of a plastic kiyanka.

Establish reverse main gear

Check level of transmission oil in reverse main gear.
