Removal

Mark brake shoes if they are be used repeatedly. They should be established back on the places, differently there will be an unevenness of distribution of brake forces between wheels.

Remove wheels.

Disconnect shtekerny connection of 1 indicator of wear of brake shoes (fig. 6.36) .

Remove a cap 2 and remove a cable of the indicator of wear of brake shoes.

Unscrew a bolt (fig. 6.37) .

Press holding spring down and at the same time take an extension 1 (fig. 6.38) .

Take a cable of the indicator of wear of brake shoes from the case of a brake support and a holding spring 1 (fig. 6.39) .

Before otzhatiy brake shoes it is necessary to pump out brake liquid from a tank. If brake liquid was added in process of wear of brake shoes, it will allow to avoid its leaks and the damages caused by them.

Wring out brake shoes from a brake disk and take from a brake support.

If it is necessary replace brake shoes. Carefully take the contact sensor with a cable of the indicator of wear of brake shoes from brake shoes and check on existence of damages.

The intact contact sensor and cables can be used further.

Clear a support.

For cleaning of a brake support use only alcohol.

Installation

Before pressing pistons into the cylinder by means of the special device, it is necessary to pump out brake liquid from a tank. If brake liquid was added in process of wear of brake shoes, it will allow to avoid its leaks and the damages caused by them. Wring out pistons.

Establish the contact sensor of a cable of the indicator of wear of brake shoes carefully in new brake shoes.

Establish brake shoes in a brake support.

Establish holding spring 1 (fig. 6.40) .

Establish a cable of the indicator of wear of brake shoes under a ledge of a holding spring in the case of a brake support.

Press holding spring down and press an extension 1 against the stop (fig. 6.39) .

Watch that lateral face surfaces of an extension correctly sat in the case of a brake support that they could not be turned.

Twirl a bolt (fig. 6.37) .

Connect tips of 1 indicator of wear of brake shoes in the holder on the case of the wheel bearing (fig. 6.36) .

Fix a cable of the indicator of wear of brake shoes with a cap 2 on the flowing union.

Establish wheels.

NOTE After each replacement of brake shoes several times strongly press a brake pedal. It is necessary in order that brake shoes occupied the working situation. After replacement of blocks check level of brake liquid.

Six-sided bolt to an extension: 30 N · m.
