Depending on equipment of the car there can be only one accumulator (under the left forward seat) or two accumulators. The second accumulator is placed in a luggage compartment.

Prevention of the category of accumulators

At big load of accumulators the control unit an onboard network automatically prevents the category of accumulators:

– frequency of rotation idling for increase in a current of the generator raises;

– if it is not enough of it, those consumers of a current, who provide comfort (for example, electroheating), are limited on a current or in general are disconnected for prevention of the category of accumulators.

If there are problems with engine start-up because of the discharged accumulator, it indicates its malfunction. In this case we recommend to check the accumulator in the service enterprise Volkswagen and if necessary to charge or replace it.

Despite automatic control of an onboard network, the accumulator it can be discharged, for example, when at the idle engine the long time is included ignition or at a long parking of the car with included parking or parking light.
