Removal

NOTE
Operation on removal of GBTs is carried out on the removed engine.
The engine should be warm to the touch.

ATTENTION
At any installation works, in particular in a motor compartment because of dense configuration, it is necessary to consider the following:
– (for example fuel, hydraulic, an absorber with absorbent carbon, systems of cooling, central air contour, pipelines of brake system, vacuum hoses), and also electric wires it is necessary to lay highways of all types how they were laid initially.
– provide free space for all mobile and hot components.
– after installation it is necessary to establish again all fixing elements of cables which are removed or cut off at dismantle.

Removal

Give the crankshaft by means of a fixing bolt of a damper of krutilny fluctuations in the direction of rotation of the engine to VMT mark цил. 1 (fig. 2.58) .
Remove poliklinovy a belt.
Uncover heads of the block of cylinders and an inlet collector.

Turn off a connecting wire 1 on an arm of a support of an inlet collector, and to liberate the tip of the sensor of a detonation 1 G61 2 of his holder (fig. 2.59) .
Then расклипсуйте burn down conductings from fastening on GBTs.

Turn off a pressure head branch pipe from the combined valve 1, then to disconnect a water hose 2 under the combined valve from GBTs (fig. 2.60) .
Turn off a final collector from GBTs.
Disconnect tips from the valve of 1 system of change of phases of a gazoraspredeleniye of N205 and the valve of 1 system of change of phases of a gazoraspredeleniye of final N318 valves.

NOTE
Before a detachment mark belonging of tips to a detail.

Turn off fixing collars of a plait of conducting from an arm.
Remove the case of the thermostat and elements of system the coolings established on the engine.

Unscrew a natyazhitel of a chain of a drive of GRM (fig. 2.61) .
Remove a lateral cover.

NOTE
The lateral cover has «the hidden bolt». Access to it is provided after removal of the case of the thermostat.

Having turned off all fixing bolts, accurately hook a lateral cover down.
Unscrew fixing bolts of phase shifters.

NOTE
During the untwisting and an inhaling of phase shifters it is necessary to hold cam-shafts only by means of a vilochny key 32 (fig. 2.62) . The ruler for cam-shafts of T10068 A should not be enclosed in flutes.

Remove the coupling of shift of a cam-shaft together with a roller chain of a drive of GRM from an inlet shaft.
Then remove the phase shifter of a final cam-shaft.

Turn off fixing bolts and to remove a level of an uspokoitel 1 (fig. 2.63) .
Put a chain of a drive of GRM aside, having put it sideways.

Weaken bolts of a cover of GBTs in the set sequence from edges to the middle and unscrew their (fig. 2.64) .

NOTE
For screws with heads of Polydrive use a key 3452.

Suspend the adaptation for posting 3033, as is shown in drawing 2.65 , and accurately lift GBTs by means of the VAS 6100 or V.A.G 1202 A crane.
Party of a damper of krutilny fluctuations: position 3.
Flywheel party: position 11.

NOTE
Marked from 1 to 12 positions of the adaptation for posting 3033 specify towards a flywheel (fig. 2.65) .
Running screws are regulated if necessary on length.

Accurately remove a head of the block of cylinders.
Enclose in cylinders pure rags that between mirrors of cylinders and pistons dirt and the sandpaper remains did not get.
Check, that dirt and the sandpaper remains also did not get to cooling liquid.
Accurately clear landing surfaces of a head of the block and the block of cylinders.
Thus should not remain long scratches and задиров (when using emery paper its granularity should be not less than "100").
Clear all carving openings for bolts of fastening of a cover of GBTs.

Installation
Accurately remove the remains of a sandpaper and grinding paper, and also rags from cylinders.
If the piston of the 1st cylinder is not in situation VMT translate the crankshaft by means of a fixing bolt of a damper of krutilny fluctuations in the direction of rotation of the engine to VMT mark цил. 1. Thus the assistant should move by hand a chain of a drive of GRM synchronously in the same direction.

NOTE
New laying of GBTs should be taken from packing only directly ahead of installation.
Address with new laying extremely accurately. Its damage will lead further to a leakage.

Establish new laying of GBTs. Marking (spare part number) should be read well.

Check, whether the driven plugs in openings of 12 both 20th block of cylinders are inserted and laying of a head of the block is fixed (fig. 2.66) .
Transfer cam-shafts to GBTs in situation VMT 1 цил.

The ruler for cam-shafts of T10068 A should enter in both flutes (fig. 2.67) .
Prepare laying of a head of the block of cylinders for installation.
Establish GBTs on the block of cylinders, insert new bolts of fastening of GBTs and tighten them by hand.
Tighten GBTs bolts in 2.66 sequences represented in drawing from the middle to edges.

NOTE
Long bolts of fastening of GBTs are inserted into average openings in a block head.

Tighten all bolts with the preliminary moment of an inhaling of 30 N · m.
Then tighten all bolts with the moment of 50 N · m.
Then tighten all bolts on 1/4 turns (90 °) a usual key.
In summary tighten all bolts once again on 1/4 turns (90 °).
Further installation and assembly is carried out in return to sequence removal.

NOTE
Check, whether the sealing ring of the oil channel is inserted into a lateral cover.

Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders and an inlet collector.
Dotyazhka of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders after repair work is not obligatory.

To check curvature of the plane of a prileganiye of a head of the block of cylinders (fig. 2.68) .
The most admissible curvature: 0,05 mm.
