Removal

Before removal of the control unit of an automatic transmission of J217 it is necessary to request at first identification data of blocks management and the coding of the old control unit.

NOTE To avoid damages of a forward slip under a forward right seat, clamps of a slip are represented in drawing 3.62 .

Clamps And cling to a cross-section extension under a seat. Slightly press a slip down and at the same time shift it back. Hold a slip in this situation and with clamps And pull it up to unblock.

Clamps In will get to grooves in a cross-section extension before a seat. Unblock them it is possible also, having pressed down and having pulled forward.

Clamps With заклипсованы in a lateral overlay of a seat, having pulled them forward, a slip it is possible расклипсовать.

Establish a seat in back, top situation.

Unblock «A» clamps in pressing down and simultaneous moving back. In such situation to hook a slip in the field of «A» clamps.

Press a slip down and at the same time pull it forward. Clamps of "B" and «C» (fig. 3.63) will thus be unblocked .

Establish a seat in forward, top situation.

It is necessary to observe sequence of shutdown of joint stock bank surely.

Disconnect the mass plug from joint stock bank at the switched-off ignition.

In the case 1 there is a control unit of an automatic transmission of J217 and the control unit of a transfer case of J646.

Unscrew a bolt 1 and take the case with control units from fastening (fig. 3.65) .

Pull clamps outside 1 and take the control unit from the case 2 (fig. 3.66) .

Installation

Installation is carried out in return sequence. Thus it is necessary to consider the following.

Check the old coding and code the new control unit.

Establish a seat covering.

To carry out working operations after joint stock bank connection.
